For many communities that are too small to attract jet aircraft passenger service, regional aircraft is an attractive option to provide air passenger service. Turboprop aircraft such as the ATR-72 and the Q400 provide quick and affordable operating economics for regional airline operators. The demand for regional aircraft has continued to grow, with a need for up to 10,000 regional aircraft in the next 20 years as air travel continue to grow globally.
GVH Aerospace supported the world’s premier regional aircraft lessor with lease transition modifications of a fleet of 15 ATR-72 aircraft from various operators. The cabin reconfiguration included floor covering changes and interior dual-language placard changes to meet the requirements of the new operators. The EASA approved modification package was supplied with placard kits as a turn-key solution, ready for the MRO to embody the modifications during lease return checks.
