GVH Aerospace Completes EASA STC Certification for Swiss Rotor Solutions Max Pilot View Kit

GVH Aerospace proudly announces the completion of the EASA STC for the Swiss Rotor Solutions MAXIMUM PILOT VIEW KIT, the next generation aerial work safety and visibility solution for the Airbus H125 / AS350 helicopter family.
The MAXIMUM PILOT VIEW KIT revolutionizes pilot visibility and operational safety via a completely new design, providing the pilot with an uninhibited field of view below and to the RH side of the aircraft. The modification adds a new single piece bubble door to the aircraft, offering a significant increase in lateral visibility, and pilot headroom when leaning to the right, even when wearing a helmet. A large lower viewing aperture and transparent fuselage window fairing significantly increases the vertical field of view forward, aft and directly underneath the aircraft by a factor of ten, compared to existing solutions. The MPVK dramatically improves the capability and safety to perform demanding operations such as sling loading, fire-fighting, SAR/EMS, confined area operations, aerial survey, seismic, law enforcement and any other tasks performed in close proximity to terrain, obstacles and ground crews or when operating at remote landing sites.

To date, Swiss Rotor Solutions has received multiple orders and is ready to supply and support installation throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. FAA/TCCA/ANAC STC validation is in progress and expected shortly.
GVH Aerospace Presents at the International Military Airworthiness Regulation Conference 2016

GVH Aerospace will be presenting at the International Military Airworthiness Regulation Conference in Melbourne, Australia, from 14th to 15th of November 2016. The CEO and Head of Design, Gareth Dyer, will be sharing GVH Aerospace’ experience as an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation with Subpart P Permit to Fly and flight test privileges. The close alignment between the Australian Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and the European Military Airworthiness Regulations which are modelled upon the EASA regulations presents challenges to governments and industry adapting to the changing regulatory framework, and GVH Aerospace is pleased to share our experience operating in similar regulatory environments and across multiple regulatory systems.
GVH Aerospace Exhibits at China Airshow 2016

GVH Aerospace will be exhibiting for the first time at China Airshow 2016 at Zhuhai, from 1st of November to the 3rd of November. The GVH Aerospace’s AeroStretcher® Modular Aeromedical System will be on display. Designed to be compatible with multiple helicopter and fixed wing aircraft types, this lightweight, modular aeromedical system is currently undergoing EASA certification.
GVH Aerospace awarded EASA STC for A340 VIP Reconfiguration

GVH Aerospace has been awarded the EASA STC for an Airbus A340 VIP cabin reconfiguration. The aircraft cabin was converted from the airliner configuration to the full VIP configuration. The cabin reconfiguration involve the installation of 100 lie-flat business class seats with in-seat power, sofa seats, and new interior trim. The aircraft, registration 9H-BIG, entered service with the Malta based VIP charter specialist Air X, and undertook its first revenue flight for a wedding shortly after. GVH Aerospace Awarded EASA STC for Thommen HSL-1600 Searchlight on Airbus H135

GVH Aerospace and Thommen Aircraft Equipment AG announce the achievement of EASA STC 10059232 for the HSL-1600 high performance helicopter searchlight with integrated infrared capability. This STC is approved on all variants of the H135/EC135, including EC135P1/P2/P2+, EC135T1/T2/T2+, and the EC635P2+/T1/T2+.
The HSL-1600 high performance helicopter searchlight is a fully integrated searchlight with self-contained electronics, providing an easy means of installation and significant weight savings compared to traditional helicopter searchlights. The optional infrared illuminator provides excellent long-range IR performance with no speed restrictions on IR transition.
The HSL-1600 searchlight can be integrated with FLIR, moving maps and other mission equipment to provide a fully integrated slaving capability without the need for external components. For enhanced operational capability, the HSL-1600 can be equipped with up to three hand-held controllers with priority switching, laser pointers and integrated NVG filters.
The achievement of the STC marks the completion of the turn-key design, installation and flight trials and certification project performed by GVH Aerospace using G-NSYS, the H135T1 systems development and trials helicopter owned by its sister company Nova Systems UK. The certification flight trials were carried out under GVH Aerospace’ Flight Test Operations Manual, using the EASA Category 1 test pilots from Nova Systems UK.
