Military helicopters require constant upgrades and refresh to maintain the avionics and mission systems in pace with the evolving mission requirements. This is especially so when the military aircraft are required to deploy as part of an international force, to ensure that the aircraft can effectively interoperate with other forces and civil agencies.
GVH Aerospace provided the engineering expertise to upgrade the AS565 Panther helicopters with a suite of avionics including a new digital moving map display, TCAS I, new mission MFD, communications suite and other avionics equipment to enable safe operation in civil aerospace in theatre as part of a United Nations mission. GVH Aerospace worked with a trusted aircraft modification specialist to provide on-site project management and aircraft modification support, to help the operator overcome the technical and project managements problems resulting from the local MRO’s performance. Working hand-in-glove with the trusted aircraft modification specialist, the aircraft completed its modifications and entered into service with GVH Aerospace providing the modification package to the local military airworthiness regulator for approval.
