GVH Aerospace Assists Lessors with Aircraft Preparation for Passenger to Freighter Conversion

The growth of E-commerce has increased the demand for freighter aircraft. This demand has further increased during the COVID-19 pandemic with a reduction in available belly cargo capacity due to the reduction in passenger flights.

GVH Aerospace has been assisting lessors with preparing their Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the 737-800BCF Passenger-to-Freighter (PTF) conversion. The feedstock aircraft destined for the PTF conversion needs to have certain modifications removed as they interrupt the conversion. GVH Aerospace also provided FAA approval for a series of avionics and electrical modifications already embodied on the feedstock aircraft to facilitate its entry into service with the next operator.
